The rear sight is a folding ladder sight pinned to the top rear of the receiver. The rear face of the front sight base is marked “I”.ġ11 Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Patridge style blade dovetailed into a base on the barrel, protected by military style ears that are finely checkered on their edges. The top left of the front sight blade is marked “S” and the right side is marked “+. The belly of the stock just behind the grip is marked “S51”. The underside of the wrist just behind the trigger guard is marked with a “Boxed S”. The underside of the forend just behind the forward handguard/forend band is marked “S”, with four numbers which are crossed out, and with a large crowned mark that is illegible. The right side of the bolt head is marked “O”. The rear face of the bolt handle is marked “S” and “14C2827”. The underside of the bolt handle is marked “C”. The left side of the front handguard/forend band, the top of the rear band and the right side of the cocking knob are marked “S”. The left side of the chamber ring is marked with a Crowned “BNP”. The left side of the receiver is marked “NO 4 MK 1*”. Markings: The left side of the stock collar is marked “14C2827 / S /1942” and with a flaming bomb proof.
